On May 3 and 4, areas near Flint, Mich., in Genesee County were deluged with torrential rains and severe flooding. On Friday, Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder called a "state of emergency" for the region. This opens up state assistance for those in damaged areas, says Michigan Radio.
